Four performance parameters of UPS power quality

The technical parameters of the UPS power supply are important indicators of the quality of the UPS and the main basis for selection. Aiming at whether the UPS power supply can provide clean and uninterrupted power supply to the load equipment normally and safely, a detailed understanding of its performance parameters is required.

1.Input parameters
Input voltage range. According to the low quality of China’s power grid, a wide range of UPS should be selected. The range of UPS currently designed with thyristor is -15%, + 10%. If it exceeds this value, UPS failure rate will increase. ; UPS should have automatic protection of three-phase input phase sequence error and three-phase lack of phase input.

2.Output parameters
The static stability of output voltage is ± 1% for medium and large UPS; the transient voltage fluctuation value of output voltage is less than ± 5% for medium and large UPS; the adjustable range of output voltage.

3.Rated operating parameters
Rated output power; rated maximum output, input current; rated output input frequency, China is the standard 50Hz; the nominal input and output voltage are determined according to the way of incoming and outgoing wires.

4.Other parameters
The mean time between failures is 200,000 to 400,000 hours (large UPS power supply), 150,000 to 220,000 hours (medium UPS power supply); parallel capability requires UPS uninterruptible power supply to have direct parallel output capability. The current imbalance is 2% to 5%. The value should be as small as possible; it should have remote monitoring, fault alarm, and operating status recording functions; it should have lightning protection, surge suppression, and antistatic discharge functions.
